Stephen Degenaro is an Australian actor, writer, and filmmaker working in action-driven, character-focused storytelling. With a background in performance and martial arts, his work is grounded in physical authenticity, practical stunts, and gritty realism.
Raging Jake was born from Stephen’s desire to create an original Australian action film that blends hard-hitting crime drama with emotionally driven character work. Drawing on his experience in action performance and on-screen fight choreography, he developed the project from screenplay to novel and proof-of-concept pitch trailer, positioning it as a commercially minded independent feature.
Stephen writes and produces with a hands-on approach, prioritising efficient production, strong visual storytelling, and practical filmmaking solutions. His goal is to build sustainable, independent projects that connect with audiences while remaining grounded in real-world emotion and consequence.
Raging Jake marks the first feature under development from Stephen as a writer-producer-lead, with the intention of expanding into further action and crime-driven stories.
Raging Jake is currently in development as a feature film, with production planned as the next stage.
